I've invested a lot of time and money in this home since I've purchased it in the Fall of 1998. Major projects have included:
Vinyl siding, exterior insulation, additional rain gutters
Raised bed vegetable garden
Additional attic insulation
Installed drip irrigation for gardens and potted plants
Replaced sliding glass doors with energy-efficient windows and doors
New roof
Repainted the interior -- 28 rooms total
Stripped and repainted deck (x2)
New vinyl fence around the yard and iron gate
Finishing the basement-- creating a workout area, storage rooms, and a guest bedroom
Replaced all windows with energy efficient glass
Replacing the wooden front porch with vinyl
Pulling out sickly hedges and creating flower gardens in the front of the house
Building a detached garage in the back yard
Laying decorative bricks, sidewalk, retaining wall, and flower gardens in the back yard
Optimized the sprinkler system (added xeriscape, so sprinker heads both reduced and moved)
Tearing out Scrub Oak and replanting planter beds
Painting the attached garage and installing shelving
Planted thousands of dollars worth of trees, shrubs, fruit, and perennials
