I visited the
Santa Fe, Taos, and Red River areas of New Mexico in May. Originally I had
planned a backpacking trip in the Pecos Wilderness area outside Taos. As
the date neared, it became increasingly clear that snow was still a factor for
the hiking route I had planned, and camping would be muddy. So I changed
plans and opted for an exploration and art tour instead. I treated myself
to a hot springs resort on the last two days. I did manage some hiking and
other exercise during the sight-seeing trip.
