Here are pictures of my kitties:

Edward Scissorpaws Edward is very interactive with humans and always to be the center of attention. With a room full of visitors, he'll attempt to spend equal time on everyone's lap. Edward loves to wake me up in the morning after my alarm goes off. He also enjoys showing off his ability to jump and balance. Edward has been known to turn on my radio in the middle of the night, in an attempt to get me out of bed earlier (to feed him breakfast of Fancy Feast). Edward loves to "talk" to the birds feeding at the bird feeder. Edward was adopted from Utah Humane in 1998.

Jennifur Fruitcake Jennifur thinks that it is her job to purr me to sleep every night. She must have been raised around dogs because she often makes a barking sound for attention. Jennifur grows long fur in the winter and develops quite a mane. Jennifur loves to hunt mice and bring them home to show you. I call her the "ornamental kitty" because she is very beautiful and requires very little maintenance. She was adopted from Wasatch Humane in 1999. |

Sampson Sampson looks just like Edward, except Samson doesn't have a black chin (Edward has a small goatee). Sampson is TWICE the size of Edward, if not more. Sampson is a really big cat! Sampson was adopted from the University of Utah laboratory, where he was a victim of medical experiments. According to his papers, he was formerly named "Boots" and was surrendered to the Davis County Animal Shelter. His front paws are declawed. Sampson is still quite shy. As you would expect, he has some behavior quirks as a result of his previous trauma. It is also quite evident he was abused earlier in life. He has a dramatic fear reaction to the play mouse on a string (which the other cats love to play with). I'm content to let him live out his "retirement" (from medical experiments) life in my home, and don't have any expectations with regard to his behavior. If he wants to spend most of his time under the bed hiding, that's fine with me. |

Cat condo on the deck - so kitties stay warm and dry outside, and can look inside to see if people are home to let them in the house. |
Sampson hugging Edward. They are very "touchy feely" with each other, and LOVE to wrestle and play chase. |
When you lie down, Sampson wants to climb on top and give you a neck rub. Unfortunately, it's sort of an Adam's apple massage, so it isn't very pleasurable for the human. However, Samson LOVES it! |

Brutus is a neighborhood cat who would like me to adopt him. He hangs around our house often. He and Edward play "chase" constantly. |

Missing in Action Jackson Jackson disappeared in 10/03; he went outside and never returned home. Jackson loved to be petted, but would never bug you to pay attention to him. Jackson would roll on his back and expose his white underbelly when he craved affection. I once witnessed him run to help Jennifur when a tom cat attacked her (he took over the fight and she ran). He was the best behaved cat I've ever cared for. Jackson was adopted from the Humane Society of Utah.

Alexa M.C. Alexa was adopted (just in time) from the Murray Animal Control Department in Feb 2006. She disappeared in Oct 2006 while I was on a trip. She was found 5 miles away (by her microchip) and now has another home. Alexa is a Maine Coon cat. She loved to hang out with people and follow them from room to room. Alexa tried hard to be your buddy or "pal". Her eyes were very expressive, and she loved ANYONE who would pet her. She was a great cat, but not not very street smart....and refused to stay indoors.
